I am a clinician working with many trauma kids and parents. I had used the first edition of this book and was very pleased with the psychoed, worksheets, and information. This edition added additional worksheets/packets which makes it easy to apply what you know and learn about attachment, regulation, and competency in a variety of settings. I have used the processing packet in a clinic setting, in a school setting, and with inhome therapy. There is an increasing need for mental health practitioners to understand and be able to apply trauma based therapy with children, families, and parents; this book helps increase understanding around the importance of attachment and it’s pivotal role in working with traumatized youths.
